Viva La Canada!

MONT TREMBLANT - QUEBEC, CANADA
December 2-5, 2011

Jen and I took a trip to Mont Tremblant this past weekend. It was Jen's first time in Canada and my first time back to Tremblant in almost 8 years! What a fantastic time we had. Jen wrote on my Facebook that she was not only looking forward to the trip itself but the "intense hand holding", music, conversation and laughter.

....Wow.

The drive to Tremblant, with stops, is roughly 8 hours long. It felt like 2 being with Jen. If even. I was almost sad to reach our destinations because we were having so much fun during the drive to/from.

We can talk about anything and everything. We get each other's sense of humor. We feel the intense chemistry when we hold hands or lock eyes. We FEEL the music. We BLAST the music.

This is living.

The first night we stayed in Burlington, VT since I had a review of Sheraton Burlington Resort & Convention Center set up. We even drove through snow, listened to Xmas music and had dinner at the Atlantic Bread Company, but the best part was just being in the hotel room together. Relaxing. Watching movies and just enjoying...each other.

Canada highlights:

  • Seeing Jen's reaction to the landscape, French signs and French music stations.
  • Driving over the huge bridge to/fom Montreal! I never thought I would be able to do that, but I sure did! ;)
  • 94.3 Montreal. BEST dance radio station. We discovered some awesome "hot" songs and are both obsessed with Sak Noel's "Loca People" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uinxBnTiwhM&feature=share)
  • Stopping at a Canadian Walmart.
  • Seeing Jen's reaction when we stepped foot in Mont Tremblant's enchanting village.
  • Kissing Jen under the moonlit sky in Tremblant village.
  • Jen going ZIPLINING!!! :-D
  • Having the Canadian's not understand what we were saying (especially ordering food) and not being able to understand them.
  • Our (hosted) lake view suite at  beautifulCote' Nord!
  • Jen asking for directions...3 times!! ;)
  • Waking up to the breathtaking views of 'Lac Superier'.
  • The smell of fireplaces!
  • Checking out the Tremblant casino.
  • Having dinner at Catherine's Creperie and talking with the waiter, Daniel.
  • Spending $40+ in the Canadian version of Family Dollar -- 'Dollarama' and having the BEST time doing so! C'raaaazy fun! LOL!
  • Jen's ladybug hat! ;)
  • Listening to Dolly Parton and Kenny Roger's 'A Christmas to Remember' on the drive up to Burlington as snow was falling.
  • Breakfast in St. Jovite (mmm...crepes....lol).
  • Driving home, in the fog, listening to 'Blue Monday' and 'Twilight Zone', holding hands and feeling like we were in an 80's music video.
It is an amazing feeling to be with someone who not only WANTED to be there with me but appreciated every second.

Such a fantastic trip. The "being hosted" part is all just a bonus! ;)

To think we will be in Quebec City Dec 26-29 at Hotel Le Capitale and then staying at THE ICE HOTEL in Quebec the weekend of Valentine's Day and their Winter Carnival is almost too good to be true! I am so grateful to Out & About Travel for providing these amazing opportunities and to Jennifer for making it all come to life, because it means nothing if you aren't sharing it with the right person! <3  XO
