Letter to my Ex - Nothing is Impossible | Forgiving your Ex

Message to my ex:

Even though we are not in contact right now, please know that I am always here when and if you should EVER need me or ANYTHING

Some things I would like you to know:
  • I forgive you. The past is the past and all I care about is right now and the future.
  • When I said I would "always love you" - those weren't just words. I meant it. Although the love I feel for you is no longer romantic, I DO love and care for you as if you were my family.
  • In my heart you ARE part of my family.
  • I would take care of you in a heartbeat if you needed me too.
  • I would run errands for you, cook for you, take care of your pets and make up inappropriate rap songs if only to make you smile.
  • Sometimes people say things, cruel things, out of hurt and anger, especially when in love. I hope you can forgive me for anything I may have said that has hurt you.
  • I always admired your strength.
  • I know in my heart there is NOTHING you can't overcome, cancer included.
  • Randomly, throughout the day, it hits me that you have cancer and what you are going through. I lose my breath and everything feels surreal. I can only imagine what you must be feeling.
  • Everyone in my life is praying and truly cares about you.
  • There is no need to be sad or feel alone. I am only a phone call, text or email away. Your call.
  • I only want to help lift your spirits, make you laugh and encourage you.
  • I have no ulterior motives. In my heart - you ARE my friend and my family.
  • I was very much in love with you and when I said "I would take care of you if you were a stump" - I meant it.
  • I only want you to heal, be loved and enjoy all life has in store for you.
  • I hope you know me well enough, as I know you, to know what is true and what is not.
  • I remember many beautiful / wonderful things about our relationship and hope you do too.

And finally....

I want to say THANK YOU for the "5" years you were in my life. You did more for my self confidence then you will ever know. Regardless of everything you will always MATTER to me and I will ALWAYS offer my friendship to you.

The door is always open.

Much love and prayers always,
Des
